A Fortnit card collector who posted a message to Reddit asking how to get in on the free money-to-buy deal on Hearthstone has received a free Hearthstone card.
In the post, posted on Friday, the user asked if it was possible to buy cards on the trading card site for a buck or so and then send the money to him via PayPal.
“If it works, great,” the user replied.
“But if not, I’d be glad to do it for a small donation.”
The post has since been deleted, but the original thread has since received more than 200,000 views.
Hearthstone has seen an increase in popularity in recent weeks, and many players have taken advantage of the opportunity to spend their money.
The game has been released in Australia and New Zealand, but is only available in North America and Europe, with a new beta coming later this month.
Reddit user Ciprian wrote: “For $20 you can get a Hearthstone card for free in the new Fortnites Trading Card game.”
While the player has received the card, it is unclear whether he has actually received it or if he just posted it to his own post.
A Fortniti spokesperson told Reddit: “We’re aware that there has been a report of a post from a Fortniter asking how it is possible to get free Hearthstone cards.
We are investigating and we will be working closely with the user in the future to resolve this issue.”
