NBA basketball trading cards are getting a whole new look, thanks to a new partnership with Gauntlets Trading Company.
The cards will feature a redesigned logo featuring the iconic ‘B’ in black on the front and the word “BEST” on the back, with the logo design also inspired by the brand’s name.
They’ll also include a new ‘D’ for ‘Dollar Day’ on the reverse side.
The partnership between Gauntlets and the NBA means they can sell trading cards to the NBA and all 30 teams, including the Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Charlotte Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, LA Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards and the Westchester Knicks.
“Gauntlets is a brand that is known for bringing a unique style to trading cards,” said Jeff Tarrant, chief creative officer for Gauntlets.
“Their trading cards were a big hit on the internet, so we are thrilled to be able to bring them to the arena with this partnership.”
Gauntlets has been the #1 selling trading card brand on the UK market since 2012, and has recently been making waves with its own branded trading cards.
It launched its own series of trading cards in 2016 and introduced the ‘NBA Draft’ series last year.
The Gauntlets trading cards will debut at select games in the 2018 NBA Summer League, which will be held on August 10-12 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
